Challenge 26

We’re excited to announce that Challenge 26 is coming to Bramham Park from 10th–12th July 2026 – and we want you and your Group to be part of it!

Challenge 26 is Central Yorkshire’s triennial whole-County camp. It is open to any young person or adult who is a member of Scouting within the County. Challenge 26 promises to be an unforgettable weekend filled with opportunities to connect as a County, to experience a diverse range of youth-shaped activities, and to create lasting memories in a safe and supportive environment.  It’s a chance to meet like-minded people from across Leeds and Wakefield and for our young people to try activities they may never have attempted before. To make this event a success, we need your help to start planning early.

Express your Group’s interest now!

To help us secure the best activities before they become booked up and to plan effectively, we’re asking Groups to register an expression of interest as soon as possible. This doesn’t commit your Group to a firm booking (although we hope you will attend!), but really helps us to ensure that the event is tailored to the number of young people and adults attending and allows us to put as much of our budget as possible towards booking exciting activities.

Here’s how it works:

• Your District Lead Volunteer will circulate a sign-up code for your Group.
• Each Group should appoint one person as their ‘Booking Contact’. This person should use this code to ‘claim’ your Group on the booking system at bookings.challengecamp.org.uk. The Booking Contact can then complete the expression of interest form on the system.
• You’ll be asked to pay a non-refundable deposit of £50 to confirm your Group’s interest.

The deadline to express interest is 31st December 2025. Don’t forget, Challenge 26 is open to all sections within Central Yorkshire. You can choose to attend for the full weekend (Friday-Sunday), one night (Saturday-Sunday) or for the day on Saturday only if you’d prefer. If you’re an adult volunteer not attending with a group, opportunities to join the Challenge Crew will open soon.

What’s next?

Once your Group is claimed and you have expressed interest, we’ll keep you updated with further details, including full booking information and activity previews. The firm bookings process will open at the start of 2026.
